Welcome to the home page of the School Breakfast Coalition, a partnership of students and community groups working to make sure every student in Rhode Island eats the most important meal of the day!
Our coalition provides resources and support aimed at expanding Rhode Island’s successful school breakfast program. Unfortunately, many children in Rhode Island come to school hungry. Feeding these children can help them keep alert and stay focused on learning.
We are working to secure passage of S2347 and H7403, bills that would guarantee universal school breakfast programs at 20 of Rhode Island’s neediest schools. Universal programs eliminate the stigma of traditional programs and increase participation among eligible children, who are among Rhode Island’s neediest.
